The Social Lunchbox is a lunchbox that sends a lunch invitation to others in the vicinity. The typical lunchbox is designed for a single person. The Social Lunchbox embraces the social nature of lunch and entices people to take a break by making them aware of lunchtime in an ambient way. The concept of opening the bandwidth between people and their social environment can be extended to other products which have a one-to-one mapping between a product and a unique social situation.

Further development of the concept of social instigators in continuing, though using different, and perhaps more appropriate, forms.
